Graduation project: Woodland Worries

In order to acquire the last ingredient for her magic potion, a little witch has to overcome her fear of the forest. Luckily she doesn’t have to do this alone; her trusty firefly is there to help.

Woodland Worries touches upon the subject of overcoming fear in a fun and lighthearted way. It shows children the subtle message that our fears are not always rational, with the emphasis placed on helping children realise that they don’t have to overcome their fears all on their own.

While mainly focusing on 2D frame-by-frame animation and character design, I also wanted to incorporate aspects of my everyday life into this short story, such as my own irrational fears, and also my love for nature and fairytales.
